                            iGATE PatnI  Company Profile
iGATE Patni (previously iGATE Global Solutions Ltd), is a provider of Information Technology services and business solutions, as a subsidiary of iGATE Corporation. The company has employed over 15,000 people. It has 23 international offices across the Americas, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region, as well as offshore development centres in eight cities in India. iGATE Patni's clients include more than 400 Fortune 1000 companies.iGATE Patni is ranked #8 in India IT companies and overall #236 in Fortune India 500 list in 2011.

aptitude test for patni was of medium difficulty level. I found the verbal section and the analytical section quite easy, however the quant section took up lot of time .
they had given us 15-20 min for each and there was a separate question paper for each section, which thy took after the time for tht section was over.
Many questions wer based on sets. Verbal had a lot of fill in the blanks.

Hi Kartik Patni/iGate had a relatively simpler apti (which is why I could clear it). It had, apart from the standard types of question, an essay section on a random topic given to you. Also the eligibility criteria was much lower than other companies - 55% aggregate (again which is the reason why I could sit for it).

I cleared the apti. Many others also did (around 16-17 from 30 or so). There was no GD and we were called for interviews at their Airoli office. Students from other colleges were also called on the same day. There was a huge hall in which interviews were conducted by 4 or 5 people parallelly. The questions were technical as well as HR oriented. I screwed up in technical part which was related to basics of C eg write a program to generate fibonacci series. But overall everyone's interviews were good and they selected some 12 or 13 out of 16 students.

I would advice you to thoroughly prepare for technical questions related to your stream and brush up basics of programming languages. I saw some people preparing for HR questions too, which is not required according to me. You just have to be yourself and be honest while answering these kind of questions.

Good luck.
